Objective of the Mukhya Mantri Sa Sajuli Yojana (MMSSY)
The primary aim of this scheme is to increase the income of farmers. The government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- to help farmers acquire modern agricultural equipment.
By encouraging the purchase of scientific instruments, the government aims to save time and labour while also increasing agricultural production and productivity. As a result, this initiative will not only make farmers self-reliant but also improve their quality of life.
Who is eligible for MMSSY
To avail these benefits, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
The applicant must be a permanent resident farmer of Assam.
Only small and marginal farmers are eligible.
The minimum age requirement is 21 years.
The applicant must have been involved in farming for a minimum of three consecutive years.
All Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders are eligible.
A valid and active bank account is mandatory.
Only one beneficiary per family is allowed.
Tenant farmers or sharecroppers cultivating at least 1 acre or 3 bighas of land are eligible.
How were you selected for the scheme?
The selection process at Mukhya Mantri Sa Sajuli Yojana, Assam, is decentralised and transparent. Beneficiaries are identified at the village and panchayat level to ensure local verification. The District Level Committee, which is led by the Deputy Commissioner, makes the selections. In BTAD and autonomous districts, the committee is chaired by the principal secretary. Reservation norms are strictly followed, with 7 percent for SC, 10 percent for ST (plain), and 5 percent for ST (hill) farmers.
How to Apply for Mukhya Mantri Sa Sajuli Yojana (MMSSY)
To apply for Mukhya Mantri Sa Sajuli Yojana, the applicant needs to download the application form. Take a print of the form and fill out all the details. Now attach all the required documents and submit it at the Agricultural Department Office. Submitted applications will be verified by the Agriculture Department. After successful verification, the amount will be granted to the beneficiary.
