Pratibha Kiran Scholarship: Pratibha Kiran Scholarship is awarded to meritorious female students from the state of Madhya Pradesh and is promoted by the Chief Minister of India. In 2009, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship to encourage girls in the state to pursue education.

The Higher Education Department offers the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship to deserving candidates with adequate facilities. Deserving students receive financial assistance, which fuels their eagerness to pursue higher education. However, the date mentioned above is provisional and may change.

Objectives of Pratibha Kiran Scholarship:

The objective of this MP Pratibha Kiran scheme is to provide financial assistance to economically weaker sections of girls from all classes who want to study in college. This is done to enable them to complete their studies and make valuable contributions to the progress of both the country and society. Previously, only girls had to submit the form to the college principal. But later, the online process for the application started. To fill out the MP Pratibha Kiran application form fairly and systematically, the Madhya Pradesh Government has launched the MP Scholarship Portal 2.0.

Eligibility of Pratibha Kiran Scholarship:

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  1. Must be a girl student residing in any urban area of Madhya Pradesh.
  2. Below Poverty Line (BPL) family members.
  3. Have scored at least 60% marks in the 12th class examination.

Required documents of Pratibha Kiran Scholarship:

The following documents are required while applying for Madhya Pradesh Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Scheme:-

  1. The entire ID.
  2. Madhya Pradesh Urban Residence Certificate.
  3. Aadhaar Card
  4. Income Certificate
  5. BPL Certificate.
  6. Class 12th marksheet.
  7. Bank account details.
  8. Birth certificate (if available)
  9. Caste certificate (if applicable).

Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Application Process:

The application process for the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship is basic. Students need to do the following:

  1. First of all, the applicant needs to visit the official state scholarship portal scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in/Index.aspx (in Madhya Pradesh, it is MP Scholarship Portal 2.0).
  2. Next, register yourself as a new user through Aadhaar and complete the personal details.
  3. Fill out the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Application Form
  4. Next, upload all the required documents 5. Finally, submit the form, and don’t forget to take a printout for reference.

Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Status Check:

  • First, the MP Scholarship Portal
  • Visit the official website login page.
  • The login page will open.
  • Enter your user ID and password, enter the captcha, then click Login.
  • On the dashboard, enter your tracking status.
  • Enter your application ID and academic year, then click on Show application. Your details will open on your page.

Benefits of the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship:

  1. Every year, a student is given an allowance of 5,000 rupees.
  2. Under the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship Scheme, girl students will be given a monthly scholarship of Rs. 500 for 10 months (for admission to general courses) and Rs. 750 for 10 months (for technical and medical courses).
  3. Only students from Madhya Pradesh will enjoy the benefits of Pratibha Kiran Yojana.
  4. Work will be done to provide benefits to students who have scored more than 60% marks in the Class 12th examinations of the Board of Secondary Education and CBSE/ICSE Boards.
  5. Only girls from urban families living below the poverty line can apply for the Pratibha Kiran Yojana; they can pursue their education through the MP Pratibha Kiran Yojana.
  6. This project will help those who would have dropped out of school due to their family’s financial situation.

Reward for Pratibha Kiran Scholarship:

Eligible students for the Pratibha Kiran Scholarship will receive Rs. 5,000 for pursuing education in medical, engineering, management, law, the private sector, etc. Candidates will get an additional benefit of Rs. 500 per month for ten months and Rs. 750 per month for technical and medical courses.
